City Watch Objectives

• To exclude persistent and prolific offenders/ criminals from client's premises.
• To exclude persons who have committed offences in client's premises.
• Protect staff from violence / abuse (can lead to stress related disorders).
• Reduce crime and the fear of crime for the benefit of staff and customers.
• Encourage investment by creating a safer workplace / area.
• Improve the economic and general environment of the city leading to more employment and improved prosperity in the area.
• Staff training to all clients that require it on related matters, i.e. action to take, ID of suspects, what to look for etc.
• To ensure that there is support to victims of crime and also support for witnesses.

Offenders are normally local - they are persistent - some can be violent - they intimidate and harass staff and security - they are a drain on the resources of police and business. With full support / participation of everyone involved our City Watch message sent to these people will be - you are not welcome in this city.
